Before reaching Besakih Mother Temple we’ll drive you to other historical site Built in the 11th century, the Kehen temple – the biggest temple in East Bali and considered to be the finest as well. Kehen means household or fireplace and symbolizes the fire god, Brahmen who protects the temple.
Let’s your eyes be entertained by seeing a traditional village that has its own characteristic, a village which has very little of modernization influence – Pengelipuran Village. Thing to be special to see is the houses exist in this countryside from north to the south is look very beautiful in particular the Balinese traditional entrance gate which are made similar each other. Then goes down to the heart of the Semarapura town, go back in time, learn Bali history at Semarajaya museum – an ex Dutch High School. Seeing a floating building in the middle of a fish pond named Kertha Gosa – a building of a kind Jurisdiction in form of Bale for the king who announces the legislation, jurisdiction, penalization etc. The decorative painting at the roof of Kertha Gosa building will show you the local used to be.
For your lunch there are many food stalls or “warung” and also small restaurants around Bukit Jambul – an outstanding natural tourist destination due to the harmonious combination of hilly land, rice fields, valleys and the beautiful sea panorama in a distance.
